A Great Day For America!
Yes, pholks, it's election day! It's once again the time to observe that great manifestation of a democratic society in action! Enslaved people the world over long to have what we have right here in the good ol' USA today.
Yeah, it's cool that we get to help pick our political leadership, but I've been jaded about politics for years. They all seem to be a bunch of lying assholes. Toss a coin, pull a lever, and get the hell out of there. That's me for most candidates.
Today is also the day we get to tell business owners in our "free enterprise" society exactly how they have to run said businesses, through our referendum and proposition systems. Ain't it great? Obviously, engineers, insurance salesmen, construction workers and realtors know a lot more about how to run a restaurant or a hog farm than restauranteurs or hog farmers, right?
OK, so The Crime Dog is a little bit cynical about the whole process, but he'll go out and do his part. As always, he'll vote the way he believes the issues and candidates should be decided.
But what really, really makes today great? I'll tell you:
Today is the day that Hayworth, Mitchell, Pederson, Kyl, Renzi, Simon, PETA, the American Cancer Society, tobacco industry, and all their self-righteous ilk get to finally SHUT THE FUCK UP and get off my TV, radio, and street corner.
It'll be a breath of fresh air.
