Anonymous Was Right!
"Anonymous," whoever that is, commented yesterday that Jimmy forgot the words to It's 5:00 Somewhere while singing it The Today Show. I went back on the Tivo and listened, and sure enough......he ended up singing the same verse twice. You could hear the little "Aw, shit...." slur in his voice in the second verse when it struck him that he had forgotten the words. Mac was grinning away at him - it's usually Mac that sings the song in concert, and Jimmy only comes in after the "WWJBD?" line. I'm guessing about now that Jimmy is taking some well-deserved shit from the Reefers.
Nice catch, anonymous! Now, how about providing us with a cool nickname, so we can tell you from the other "anonymouses."
