Notre Dame Player To Return From 87 Year Injury
Will DNA prove a genetic link between these two men?
For some reason, the family of long-deceased Notre Dame star George "The Gipper" Gipp is digging him up. Exhuming him, they say, for DNA testing. I say hogwash. I know why they're really digging him up. It's because The Gipper still has a year of eligibility, and even though he's been dead for 87 years, he's still better than anybody else on the team. His cadaver scored as many touchdowns as the entire Notre Dame offense through the first five games of the season.
I don't know that I ever paid any attention to a photo of the real Gipper until today. I always assumed he looked just like Ronald Reagan. Turns out he looks just like Peyton Manning.
