Assholes In The News
Today's paper has an article about The Great Ass Cam Adventure Ride, otherwise known as a colonoscopy. It seems doctors who linger at the ol' back door for a while instead of jogging straight on through tend to find more bad stuff. Now, do I have to call my proctologist and ask him just how much time the two of us spent together? That's way too Brokeback for me. But then again, maybe he'd find my missing TV remote......
And also on the subject of assholes:
One of the few people in the world who do not find David Duke a repugnant, racist freak seems to be President Ahmadinejad of Iran. I've seen Ahmadinejad speak a few times on various news reports, and he ain't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. He hosted Grand Dragon Duke, a guy who has been completely discredited and marginalized in his own country, as one of several speakers on the "holocaust myth."Puppet President Ahmadinejad must not have heard about Duke's 1976 book, Finders Keepers, which was basically a woman's sex manual published under the pseudonym "Dorothy Vanderbilt." Isn't that a capital offense in Iran? Nothing like a nice, laid back, afternoon stoning, eh?
A couple of groups you might recall with fondness, MoveOn.org and Swift Boat Veterans For Truth, have now admitted to federal elections violations and agreed to pay fines that total about $450,000. MoveOn.org is that playful bunch of anti-Semites who compared George Bush to Hitler during the 2004 Presidential campaign. The Swift Boat guys, now known as Swift Vets and POWs For Truth made their bones criticizing John Kerry's Vietnam service during that same bitter election. Even our own John McCain, decorated Vietnam Vet and POW, condemned their tactics, and they were trying to get his guy elected!
Let me just say this: I agree with MoveOn.org in its opposition to the Iraq war. I agree with Swift Vets that the highest public office John Kerry should have is perhaps that of Dog Catcher First Class. And I think both groups are a bunch of extremist pinheads with no regard for the truth.
That said, here's an idea: How about we suspend their fines. Just let 'em keep their cash, so long as they agree to go away. Forever. Shut the fuck up.
This has been a Public Service Announcement from the Crime Dog Network.
