Another From The "I Wish I'd Said That" Department:
As reported earlier this week, a suspect pulled over in a routine traffic stop in Florida ended up "executing" Deputy Matt Williams, who had stopped him. Wounds were found on Williams' right wrist, left bicep, rear left thigh, right leg, right buttock and upper right arm. The killer fired one shot at close range behind Williams’ right ear and another near his right temple, which showed a contact wound from where the gun muzzle touched his skin. Another deputy was wounded and "Diogi," Williams' trusted canine partner, was killed as well. A statewide manhunt ensued. The killer, Angilo Freeman, was ultimately found hiding in a wooded area with his gun. He pointed the weapon towards officers, and SWAT team members fired, striking him 68 times.
Asked why his officers fired 110 rounds, perforating this human garbage 68 times, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel:
I suspect the only reason 110 rounds was all that was fired was that's all the ammunition they had.
Attaboy, Sheriff.
