A Money Saving Tip From The Crime Dog

Well, we survived the long weekend with no major injuries. After attending parties on Saturday and Sunday, I had to stay home Monday and do all the stuff I didn't do the previous two days. Or, the weekend before, for that matter, since my leg looked like a swollen pomegranate.

I picked up the "Live At Texas Stadium" CD and listened to it. Once was enough. That was the worst Buffett concert ever, and it was 120 freakin' degrees in that stadium. I remember fondly that TFMCD sat there through about two George Strait numbers, sweating and wilting rapidly, before she finally jumped up decisively and said:

I might sit in this kind of heat for Jimmy, but I am NOT going to sit here and listen to any more freakin' country music!!! (Cue applause here)

And with that, she headed up to the shaded mezzanine, and I didn't see her again until Jimmy was introduced. That's my girl.

Anyway, unless you just have to own this CD to complete a collection, don't bother. Jimmy is on the following songs:

Hey Good Lookin' (Sucks. Way too country)
All My Ex's Live In Texas (God, please make it stop)
Sea Of Heartbreak (The worst cover from the all-time worst Buffett album)
North East Texas Woman (Good cover - Like a "California Girls" for Texans)
Boats To Build (Z-z-z-z-z-z-z, but a good cover nonetheless))
Margaritaville (How many versions of this song does anyone need?)
Five O'Clock Somewhere (Great! Fun to hear with Alan instead of Mac)

So, how many of these songs are Jimmy originals? Just one. Keep your cash, or just download the ones you want from iTunes.
