Bob Karwin - In Spite Of It All
Karwin has done it. He has written The Crime Dog theme song. Hell, it's just about every middle-aged male Parrothead's theme song, for that matter. It's called Falling Apart, and can be found on Bob's newest CD, In Spite of It All.
No, I didn't meant the song can be found on his new album in spite of it all. I meant that the new album is named In Spite of It All. Wait.....that doesn't work either, it wasn't named in spite of it all....it was named...Shit. Never mind. Just go here and order In Spite Of It All in spite of it all. So to speak. You won't be disappointed. In spite of it all.
A lot of us picked up a copy of Bob's new CD at Parrot Grande, where he rocked the pool on Saturday afternoon and built on his already strong Arizona following. I think he got me drunk, too. Somebody did, anyway. Couldn't have been my fault.
Anyway, this is, in my unrequested, unwanted, and untrained opinion, Bob Karwin's best work yet. Hell, he even made me like Paula Abdul. His cover of Straight Up is far cooler than hers.
So, if you like Bob Karwin a lot, or like him a little, or don't know if you like him at all, or especially if you are 40+ and married to a woman way too good for you, like me and pretty much every other guy I know, then you need this album.
Falling Apart. Yeah, that's The Crime Dog.
