The Crime Dog Answers Again
From Captain Blood: Did Jimmy really sing "The Asshole Song"??
Also known as the I-95 Song, it is often attributed to Jimmy. In fact, if you find it somewhere on the net, like here, it actually sounds a little like him, and it sounds like something he might sing. But alas, it isn't. It was recorded by a group known as "August and the Spur of the Moment Band" back in 1983. It was a B-side on a 45 (remember those?) to a song that was probably never played again.
Of course, your question is whether Jimmy sang the song. Hell if I know. I know of no recordings of it, but he could have sang it in the shower or in traffic a few times. I know I have.
