Solidarity! We Shall Overcome!

OK, I'm done. This just tears it. Margaritaville has gone too far. They've taken advantage of faithful Parrotheads one too many times. I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take it any more!

Tickets go on sale Monday, March 6th for Jimmy's April 18th Phoenix show, and the mid-range seats are going to be just under a C-note. That's $100 for you youngsters out there. A one and two zeros for those of you in Green Bay. Two week's pay for those of you from Roswell.

Jimmy, you have relied upon our good nature for too long, and we're through with you. I'm calling on all Parrotheads to boycott this concert. Not only that, but also to refuse to buy and listen to his music, or read his books, and stop wearing flashy shirts, and cancel your Parrothead Club memberships, refuse to visit Margaritaville ever ever again, and never buy tequila or beer again. You'll see how fast this will work if we join together. Jimmy will run out of money in about 1,000 years and he'll have to drop his ticket prices.

OK, wait a minute..... the clubs and Margaritaville donate a lot of money to worthy causes, so keep doing that. But nothing else. That's IT! Oh, except for the music thing. It's kind of relaxing and healing, and I don't want folks to forego their mental health and show up with a bazooka at Cheeseburger in Paradise. But nothing else, never never never no matter what.

All right, all right! Sheesh! except for the reading, for goodness sake. It sets a good example for your kids if you read, so keep doing that if you want. But that's absolutely FINAL! We still boycott the concert, the shirts, the Corona, and the tequila. Right?

We shall overco-o-ome! We shall overco-o-ome!

What's that? You say that by refusing to buy those flashy tropical shirts, the market will fail and thousands of third world 12-year-olds will lose their jobs when their sweatshops close down? Oh man, that sucks.....OK, let's keep the shirts for now. No concert, no beer, no tequila.

Stand firm, brothers and sisters!

This boycott will commence immediately as of the posting of this blog, and run until five o'clock.
