Why I Blog
Folks ask me once in a while why I do this blog thing. I've never had a really good answer until now. I can say "Oh, I just love to write." That's true. "I like the attention I get from both of my regular readers." Also true. "It is my way of striking back against the moral decay and social apathy so prevalent in today's American society, and of enlightening my fellow citizens to a better way to live." OK, that one's bullshit. But it sounds cool, doesn't it? Well, cool in a blathering Miss Arizona contestant sorta way.
All that said, I actually do have a real motivation. It's the reason I do what I do, walking barefoot uphill to my computer in 112 degree heat, slaving away over a hot keyboard, nothing to eat all day but a green baloney sandwich.
That reason?
I want to be good enough to earn a promotion from El Capitan's "Read Frequently" Blogroll to his "Read Daily" Blogroll. It might take time, I understand that. I'm in for the long haul. Yes, yes, I know it's a great honor to even make the unrepentant swashbuckling primate's blogroll. There are no losers there. But I shall never rest until I am among the elite. The best of the best. The few, the proud, the read dailies.
Now you know.
